The Auction of Washington Wines is a non-profit organization that hosts a series of events annually to raise funds benefitting Seattle Children’s Hospital and Washington State University viticulture and enology programs. Since 1988, they have raised over $63 million for these causes through celebrations of Washington’s wine industry.
Their signature events include TOAST!, an awards ceremony recognizing winemakers, followed by the Winemaker Picnic and Barrel Auction, which allows guests to purchase exclusive pre-release barrels. The highlight is their black-tie Gala weekend featuring a luxury auction, dinners, and grand tasting of wines from over 100 Washington wineries.
Other efforts include a private barrel auction, online auction, and grants supporting continued education. Through these festivities, the Auction of Washington Wines aims to increase awareness of the state’s wine region while giving back to community health and industry growth. Events showcase the quality and diversity of Washington wines.
